David Yawn has worked for 32 years in various full-time capacities spanning public journalism and corporate, magazine, and book editing.
David served as a senior staff writer for Memphis Business Journal, where he covered commercial real estate, international business, transportation, distribution and logistics, chiefly.
David then filled an editorial position at FedEx worldwide headquarters in Memphis, where he was responsible for international customer service publications that went to 34 non-U.S. call centers on a regular basis.
Following FedEx, David became the supervisor of publications at International Paper headquarters, where he headed the companywide employee full-color magazine, which had press runs of 125,000 issues six times yearly.
Now leading his own practice, David Yawn Communications, this award-winning writer helps a host of clients.
David Yawn Communications is chiefly engaged in promotional business writing in all forms, including press releases, newsletter content, advertorials, and corporate histories.
David Yawn Communications was launched in 2001 and has been serving the businesses of the
Mid-South ever since.
David is also invited frequently on invitational press trips conducted by various nations in Europe, returning to file reports for readers in the Mid-South and the rest of the United States.
